My Annie’s order arrived
1- Verbena bonariensis
4- ‘Apricot’ Cosmos (Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!)
1- lavender breadseed poppy
As usual, everything arrived from Annie’s Annuals & Perennials ultra-well-packaged. Each potted plant’s rootball was wrapped in newspaper, bound with a rubber band and enclosed in a sandwich baggie, then placed in a new 4″ plastic pot. The plants were held firmly to the bottom of the box by specialized cardboard boxes, on top of which popcorn filled every remaining nook and cranny. Those plants ain’t goin’ anywhere! Holes were punched in the box for improved air circulation.
I was going to drive to Annie’s over the weekend, but only if the weather was decent. It wasn’t.
Does Home Depot know…
… something we “Yes, it’s hot here in the Summer, but it’s a dry heat” Sacramentans don’t about catastrophic climate changes?
